PROJECT 38

The distribution of a press release is usually one stringent formal process. The ingredients for the press release are mostly words, images and movies.

In Project 38, Andree Verleger has changed this familiar pattern of information dissemination. He linked the 26 letters of the alphabet with the 12 notes of the major scale. From the composition of media, language and music, a musical score of letters is created.

The computer keyboard turns into a percussive keyboard on which musicians rhythmically produce “musical phrases” and communicate with each other.

Originating from the usual press release a musical and dialogical composition emerges. The press message receives a new digital distribution format.
