For events and projects around the city of Essen as Capital of Culture 2010 Andree Verleger developed the concept of interactive video mapping "Welcome to machine". He uses the blast furnaces of the Emscher Landscape Park in Duisburg. The industrial monument becomes a multimedia platform. In 3D space accurately reconstructed blast furnace, and contrasting imagery from the nature are projected on the blast furnace and arranged with live interactive projections of performers.
